Award-Winning Florals:
Though Western Washington isn’t famous for agricultural, this area is renowned for flour growing and was even the locale for the award-winning HBO series “Growing Floret”. In March La Conner Daffodil Festival is hosted and in April the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.
Chuckanut Drive:
Connecting Skagit Valley to Bellingham, this scenic byway shares the stunning coastal vistas of the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. Along this drive you’ll find a variety of excellent seafood, especially shellfish. Don’t forget to stop at Dogfish Point View, hike Larrabee State Park, and Chuckanut Bay Gallery and Sculpture Garden.

We’ve come to expect excellent brews from the PNW but here you’ll find restaurants and bars hyper-focused on local ingredients creating an ever-changing seasonal menus to keep trying on every visit.
Birding:
This are is considered a haven for birdwatchers. In the winter you can find bald eagles and massive flocks of snow geese and Trumpeter swans in the Skagit Valley area.
