Award-Winning Florals:
Though Western Washington isn’t famous for agricultural, this area is renowned for flour growing and was even the locale for the award-winning HBO series “Growing Floret”. In March La Conner Daffodil Festival is hosted and in April the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival.
Chuckanut Drive:
Connecting Skagit Valley to Bellingham, this scenic byway shares the stunning coastal vistas of the Puget Sound and San Juan Islands. Along this drive you’ll find a variety of excellent seafood, especially shellfish. Don’t forget to stop at Dogfish Point View, hike Larrabee State Park, and Chuckanut Bay Gallery and Sculpture Garden.

Birding:
This are is considered a haven for birdwatchers. In the winter you can find bald eagles and massive flocks of snow geese and Trumpeter swans in the Skagit Valley area.
