Popular Experiences in Seattle, Washington | Day Tours with First Nature
Welcome to Seattle, Washington, a city brimming with natural beauty, cultural vibrancy, and captivating urban adventures. With First Nature Tours as your trusted guide, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the best that Seattle has to offer. From breathtaking landscapes to iconic landmarks, here are some of the most popular experiences you won’t want to miss during your visit to the Emerald City.
Pike Place Market
It’s iconic for it’s fish throwing but is a cultural stronghold for connecting farmers and their produce to urban residents. Seattlites can taste the latest apples, WA has experimented in apple development and is responsible for the delicious Grapple (grape-apple). It’s worth taking a walk through the market and tasting some of the best produce of the state and support local artisans.
Hot Spots at Pike
It was once home to the largest donut in the US, the alley and surrounding shops hold Piroshky Piroshky a local favorite- we recommend salmon of course, and the original Starbucks (not worth ordering a drink if we’re honest). Don’t forget the gum wall! Though the original wall was taken down, tourists and locals alike have worked hard to build it back to it’s original “stickiness”.
Post-Alley
We hope locals don’t hate us for sharing but our guides love heading to Post Alley for fantastic ginger beer and the possibly the best clam chowder of the city. It’s considered one of the most charming streets in the whole city and is worth the quick gander after stopping at Pike Place Market.
Space Needle
What’s more iconic than the Space Needle when you think of Seattle? We’re hearing the theme song to Frasier now! For many, going up the Space Needle is a bucket list item but for the best views from an extremely tall building, we recommend the Columbia Center. It is still worth a visit because the area holds so much to do and see even if you don’t ride the elevator to the top!
Chihuly Gardens and Glass
Step into another world at the Chihuly Gardens and Glass exhibit near the Space Needle. David Chihuly is a world-renowned glass blower from WA who has homed his most famous pieces for all to see in the Emerald City.
Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP)
Welcome to the city of grunge! Not just grunge we’re a city of nerds and this museum is our playground! There are exhibits on Jimmy Hendrix to Star Wars with a rotation of exhibits of the worlds most famous movies and TV.
Harbor or Seaplane Tour
Seattle is located on the Puget Sound, which home to many islands, and fantastic views where oceans, meet forest, meet mountains. You can learn a little about our history and take in the vistas. Harbor cruises are incredibly popular with large variety but if you want to go a little farther, seaplane tours are available to take in the whole Sound. Or extend your trip to one of the many islands and experience a slower pace after the bustling city.
